Jim Myers
Jim Myers is the Owner and Lead Mechanic of Crescent Power Systems LLC, a generator-exclusive company dedicated to delivering dependable standby power solutions for homes and businesses. With nearly 35 years of experience in electrical power production and generator systems, Jim brings unmatched expertise and a lifelong commitment to keeping families and communities prepared for the unexpected.
A retired U.S. Air Force veteran, Jim served 20 years as a Civil Engineer specializing in Electrical Power Production from 1993 to 2013. After completing his military career, he continued strengthening his industry knowledge with leadership roles at Warren Caterpillar and Cummins Jacksonville, gaining deep technical insight into the internal workings and demands of power systems. He later spent six years running Jim Myers Small Engine and Generator Repair, expanding and refining his skills and building a reputation for reliability and craftsmanship before launching Crescent Power Systems in 2023.
Jim specializes in all aspects of standby generators and automatic transfer switches, including placement, installation, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance for equipment up to 200 kW. As a dealer for Briggs & Stratton and Generac, he combines factory-trained expertise with a straightforward mission: provide honest pricing, deliver exceptional service, and give customers the reassurance and protection they deserve.
Outside of work, Jim enjoys saltwater and freshwater kayak fishing and woodworking with his family—hands-on hobbies that reflect the same focus, patience, and precision he brings to every generator he touches.
